Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond — the same carbon, the same hardness on the Mohs scale. The only difference is origin: born in a lab instead of a mine. Every diamond comes with an IGI certificate, and moissanite with a GRA certificate, each with a number you can check yourself.
What's the difference between moissanite, lab-grown diamond and cubic zirconia?
Lab-grown diamond is genuine diamond: pure carbon, hardness 10. Moissanite is a distinct gemstone — silicon carbide, hardness 9.25 — with a little more rainbow "fire" and a lower price. Cubic zirconia is glass-like, softer, and dulls over time. We sell moissanite and lab-grown diamond only, each certified, so you always know exactly what you're wearing.
Does jewellery hold its value?
Honestly — no, and that's true of nearly all jewellery, mined diamonds included, where much of the price sits in the trade in between rather than the stone itself. We don't sell an investment; we sell something to wear and mean something to you. The upside of lab-grown is an honest price for the beauty and craftsmanship — not for artificial scarcity.
Will people know it's lab-grown?
Only if you tell them. A lab-grown stone looks and performs exactly like its mined counterpart, because it is the same material. If anyone ever asks "is that real?", the certificate is your answer — and it travels with your order.

Does moissanite go cloudy, or does lab-grown diamond yellow over time?
A well-made stone doesn't cloud on its own — that happens with poor-quality stones or from heat damage during resizing. Colour and clarity are stated on your certificate before you buy, so there are no surprises. Moissanite tends to show more rainbow fire, diamond more depth; neither is "better", it's a matter of the look you want.
Is lab-grown actually more sustainable?
On one point, clearly: no mining, no conflict stones, a traceable origin. But growing a stone still uses energy, and not every facility runs on renewable power — we won't pretend otherwise. We choose lab-grown for the ethical gain it does offer, without claiming more than we can back up.
